Lunchtimes and Breaktimes

We have the following provision available for children who require support at break and lunchtimes:

• Work with the 'Playground Friends' these are children who volunteer and are trained to lead playground games and support play, all of which are supervised by the adults on duty.
• The catering team offer a wide range of specialist dietary requirement meals e.g. dairy free.
• Reception and KS1 children have fruit provided daily.
• We have a lunchtime club where children can eat their lunch in a calm, quiet environment away from the lunch hall with an adult supervising. The lunchtime club remains open for those that find the playground environment overwhelming too.
• Our school adopted the Playtime Revolution approach where children are given wonderful resources to explore and use their imagination to enhance their play. These Playtime Revolution resources support those that struggle initiating games, promotes turn-taking and teamwork, encourages collaboration and provides more structured play.
