Paralympian Capt Nick Beighton visits Greenfields!

We were extremely privileged to have a visit from Captain Nick Beighton, the 2012 Team GB Paralympic rower, today. Nick did an assembly with the whole school, before taking a PE lesson with Poplar Class, in which they learned to play Sitting Volleyball!

Nick was then interviewed by some of our newly-recruited Year Six reporters - their interview will feature in the next issue of our school newspaper!

Nick is an extraordinary man who, since losing his legs in Afghanistan in 2009 has represented Team GB in the London Paralympics, competed in the recent Invictus Games and has also completed a Paris to London bike ride for Help for Heroes - a true inspiration for all the children!
